Up for sale, a Daguet Guitars Crestwood Custom in near mint condition and in perfect working order. Luthier-built and finely hand-crafted in France, just south of Paris, R. Dag has a history of guitar making dating back to 1975. Featuring a one-piece mahogany neck and one-piece mahogany body finished in high gloss Oxblood nitro lacquer, this faithful iteration of the original Epiphone Crestwood model is stunning in its presentation. The pair of custom-wound DR61 mini humbuckers deliver power and growl, with the inherent warmth of mahogany as a tonewood and the additional treble sparkle and cut one expects in a "mini." This Crestwood weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The one-piece quartersawn mahogany neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with very little shoulder save what’s provided by the neck binding, and said binding does provide a nice round over for the palm with lightly rolled fretboard edges for added comfort. The profile measures .805" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The bound, dark Indian rosewood fingerboard has oval pearl inlay, a 12" radius, and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The hand-carved bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features a faithful Crestwood shape with inlaid "DR" logo and genuine Kluson Deluxe double line tuning machines.

All electronics function flawlessly, with a three-way pickup selector and dedicated Volume and Tone controls for each DR61 mini humbucker. The underside of the pickguard is shielded, with extremely clean wiring, USA pots and premium tone caps. The knobs are even the correct Epiphone-specific barrel style. Nickel-plated hardware includes the Schaller roller bridge which works in concert with the Bigsby B5 vibrato. The Bigsby has a smooth and immediate response, jumping back to the original pitch with ease. The Oxblood high gloss nitro lacquer finish is very rich, with a few spots of very faint horizontal checking, exhibiting just a few extremely light finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss central to the back. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A hardshell case is included, along with the original Daguet build sheet and business card.
