Up for sale, a 2007 Benedetto Bambino in near-mint, 100% condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, owner’s manual, and case candy. Founded in 1968 by master luthier Robert Benedetto and based in Savannah, Georgia, Benedetto Guitars have crafted some of the finest archtops and jazz guitars available for more than 50 years. Benedetto’s Bambino model was designed to deliver stunning archtop tonalities and feel in a portable, gig-friendly package, featuring a hollow body that measures 14.5” wide and 2.25” deep. Other features include a Florentine cutaway, a pair of Benedetto’s A-6 humbuckers, and a gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish.
The hollow body features maple laminate construction with spruce bracing, and this Bambino yields a prodigious acoustic response, resonant and full-bodied, providing an ideal platform for the pickup pair. The A-6 humbuckers are handcrafted for Benedetto by Seymour Duncan, and these high output pickups are fat and punchy with an ideal blend of warmth and articulation, ideal for complex jazz chording and sonorous, smooth lead lines. Lightweight at 5lbs 13oz, this Bambino has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
