Up for sale, a B.C. Rich C.J. Pierce Signature Eagle in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag. This Eagle, designed in collaboration with Drowning Pool guitarist C.J. Pierce, is a shred-ready beast with top-notch componentry and craftsmanship. It features mahogany neck-through construction with mahogany body wings and carved top, an ebony fretboard, a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, and a satin Black finish with gold hardware. The neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan ‘59 (SH-1) humbucker; one of Duncan’s most popular designs, this PAF style pickup features Alnico V magnet construction, wax-potted for optimal feedback rejection. The SH-1 PAF's wind yields a bright top end and a lightly compressed sound that results in exceptional articulation, smoothness, warmth, and sweetness. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom, which combines Alnico 2 warmth with the harmonic complexity of a higher output pickup. It’s full and sweet, with a lower midrange growl that brings chords to life, and a fat treble response that gives solos a sweet, singing quality. Each pickup has a dedicated two-way coil tap mini toggle, yielding single coil snap and shimmer. This C.J. Pierce Signature weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation. The mahogany neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders in every register, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The 24-fret bound ebony fretboard features a gold “fleur” inlay from frets 9-10, and the medium jumbo fretwire is practically perfect. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the nut measures 1 11/16” in width. The headstock is framed by multi-ply gold binding, with C.J. Pierce’s signature on the gold truss rod cover and his name on the bass-side perimeter of the peghead. The stock set of gold Grover Super Rotomatic tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch with stair-stepped buttons. All of the electronics function as intended; the pickups are wired to the stock harness and governed by a three-way selector switch with independent Volume knobs and a Master Tone control, plus the pair of two-way coil tap mini toggles. Gold plated hardware includes the dome-topped knurled knobs, Tune-o-Matic bridge and stopbar, and pickup covers. The "Shadow" satin black finish is framed on top by multi-ply gold binding, buffed to a semi-gloss where the forearm crosses the top. This is a notably well-kept guitar, with cosmetic wear limited to just two tiny nicks on the lower bout perimeter and a scant few faint scratches on the body as a whole. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original B.C. Rich branded padded gigbag is included.
