Up for sale, a Bad Cat Cub II R combo tube amplifier in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Carefully refined since its debut in 2000, the Cub II R is a meticulously crafted handwired point-to-point circuit utilizing only the finest components and materials available.  The Cub II delivers 15 watts of pure, Class A tube tone via a pair of EL84 power tubes, featuring a unique preamp section that offers a wide-range of clean and overdriven tones favored by discriminating guitarists. This is a single channel amplifier that delivers excellent tone shaping abilities, with built-in tube-driven spring Reverb. At 15 watts, the amp provides pure chime and sizzling dynamic cut with a sheen of crystal highs atop a syrupy, sweet response and a rich, focused bass register. Switch from the Bass and Treble EQ controls to the five-way Tone selector and get a nice thick midrange punch that will cut through any mix. With a Master Volume that can be switched in or out of the circuit, and a half power switch enabling operation at either 15 to 7 watts, the ideal tone can be achieved at virtually any volume. Soft breakup is where this amp excels, with touch sensitivity that yields shimmer to grind with the touch of a pick, filling the room with dimensional harmonics.The Baltic birch cabinet houses a 12” proprietary Bad Cat Celestion speaker with a clean frame and original cone. The matching JJ tube set includes a GZ34 rectifier, two EL84 power tubes, and five dual triode preamp tubes. Cosmetic wear is limited to light marks in the tolex mostly relegated to the front edges of the cabinet. The graphics and faceplate are pristine, the original knobs are intact, and the gold piping and grillcloth are perfectly preserved.The original Bad Cat-branded amp cover is included.
