Up for sale, a Bacchus Classic Series model BLP-STD-H, stunningly clean and upgraded with a pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan humbuckers. A modern iteration of the LP Standard platform with a nitro lacquer Pelham Blue finish and complete with the original hardshell case and pair of humbuckers, this Bacchus is a premium Japanese build with exceptional fit and finish work. A no corners cut LP, this Bacchus boasts a traditional tonewood compliment with a carved two-piece maple top, two-piece center seam African mahogany body, a one-piece African mahogany neck with a round '50s style "baseball bat" carve and long tenon, capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. The pickup compliment includes a pair of Seymour Duncan APH-1 PAF-style humbuckers. A PAF iteration favored by Slash, the APH-1 harnesses the soft treble attack and low string pull of an Alnico II bar magnet, combined with a special vintage output coil wind to create a warm, sweet tone that is smooth and full, with tons of natural sustain. The highs sound thick and really sing, while the lows are warm and buttery, resulting in a pickup very sensitive to pick attack. The guitar weighs 9lbs 13oz, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The African mahogany neck has a chunky '50s-style C profile carve with generous shoulders and ideal heft, measuring .885" deep at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features practically perfect slender frets with ample height and perfectly rounded crowns. The guitar conforms to traditional LP specifications with a 24 3/4" scale length and 1 11/16" wide carved bone nut. The headstock features a traditional open book shape, with Kluson-style tuning machines and greened tulip buttons. The electronics compliment includes CTS pots, a Switchcraft switch, and Vitamin Q tone caps, as well as the upgraded Seymour Duncan APH-1 PAF pickup pair. The nickel plated hardware was manufactured by Gotoh, showing just a touch of patina on the pickup covers and stopbar. Gold bonnet knobs and cream plastics compliment the gloss nitro lacquer Pelham Blue finish. Near mint, cosmetic wear is limited to a few extremely faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss at the bass-side waist on the back, and a few minor pick marks across the guard. The neck profile is flawless. The original black tolex hardshell case, hangtag, and pickup pair is included.
