Up for sale, an Aria-made Superstrat boasting a trio of upgraded USA-made pickups and a heavily figured quilted maple top. This rare model features a mahogany body capped with a carved maple top, paired with a maple neck and 24 fret ebony fingerboard. The pickup complement includes a Seymour Duncan TB4 Trembucker in the bridge position, and single coil-sized Dimarzio DP-182 Fast Track 2 blade pickups in the neck and middle positions.

The TB4 is the F-spaced iteration of the JB model, Duncan's original hot-rodded humbucker. The low end is full and powerful, the highs are crisp and detailed, and there’s an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords that translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when playing single notes or solos. Dimarzio boasts their DP-182 "Fast Track 2" pickup as having three times the output of an average single coil, and these middle and neck position coils deliver huge midrange and bass punch. As Dimarzio's hottest single-coil sized pickup, the DP-182 is particularly useful for a tightly focused jolt of power to crank an amplifier into rich overdrive. The guitar weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with modest shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .810" deep at the 1st fret and .875" at the 12th. The thick slab 24 fret ebony fingerboard features medium jumbo fretwire, which has plenty of meat, showing moderate uniform wear on the crowns of frets 1-7, extending more faintly beneath the plain strings until the octave. The guitar plays well up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The roller nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"), and the headstock features a dark walnut-finished figured maple veneer and unusual "AP" Aria Pro designation.

The electronics function as intended, with a five-way pickup selector switch, two-way kill switch, and Master Volume and Tone knobs governing the trio of humbuckers. Hardware includes the Wilkinson two-point vibrato which engages easily, complete with the original arm and exhibiting patina on the gold plating on the bass side. The bookmatched, heavily figured quilted maple top is finished in a transparent Walnut gloss, and the top is notably clean with just a couple tiny nicks. There are some dings on the lower bout on the back and on the body perimeter, with one small, light spot of buckle rash between the neck bolts and tremolo cavity cover, and some chipping on the treble-side headstock edge. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A gigbag is included.
