5E3 Tweed Deluxe Boutique 1x12 Tube Guitar Amp, Hand-Wired w/ Built-in 3 Knob Reverb

+ shipping

Up for sale, a boutique Tweed Deluxe 1x12 tube amp with 5E3 circuit in excellent condition, outfitted with a three-knob tube-driven spring reverb. While the builder is unknown, the quality is evident, with a hand-wired circuit on a vintage-style eyelet board and premium components throughout. A clone of one of Fender's most celebrated amp circuits of the 1950s, the 5E3 Deluxe pushes 12 watts via a pair of 6V6 power tubes. The dual channel, four input design features interactive Volume knobs for the two channels with a global Tone knob, offering touch-sensitive cleans and rich, harmonically-dense overdrive.

The three-knob Reverb circuit mounted inside the cabinet is a clone of Fender's 6G15 Reverb Tank, with controls for Dwell, Mix and Tone, tube and transformer-driven and offering dimension and splash that compliments the circuit well. The circuit features Sprague Atom filter caps, Mallory yellow tubular signal caps, carbon comp resistors, and cloth-covered leads (with a very clean lead dress).

The Jensen-style alnico magnet speaker is the perfect voicing for the circuit, offering detailed highs and rich, spongey low end. Tubes include a matched pair of Electro Harmonix 6V6 power tubes, a Sovtek 5V4 (5Y3 equivalent) rectifier, and tubes from the likes of Phillips and Electro Harmonix in the preamp.

Vintage-style appointments include lacquered diagonal tweed, oxblood/gold stripe grillcloth, and a leather handle. A replica tube chart is present inside the finger-jointed cabinet, and the tweed shows light wear on the enclosure edges.
