Up for sale, a 2026 Fender Traditional II 60s Jaguar in showroom-clean condition, complete with the hangtags. New and imported direct from Tokyo, this FSR (Factory Special Run) example was made in extremely small quantities for a single dealer in Japan, Kinko Music.
With a Sherwood Green gloss finish, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, and mint green pickguard, this particular iteration of the Traditional II Jaguar platform channels a 1964/65-spec feature set. Numerous upscale options set it apart from other Traditional Series offerings including a Mustang-style bridge with barrel saddles, an alder body, medium jumbo fretwire, and USA-made Pure Vintage '65 single coils. The current Traditional series Fender Japan models are designed exclusively for the domestic Japanese market, rarely seen outside their country of origin.
The Pure Vintage '65 pickups are the same ones used on Fender's American Vintage II (and previous American Original) line, with gray fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and alnico magnets. This Jag does everything a good Fender should, and these pickups dish out plenty of sparkling cut in the top end, with the slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart. The neck pickup has a balanced, sweet sound with great clarity for strummed passages and fat lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, the guitar has been setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation (string gauge and setup can be dialed in to buyer's preference at no charge upon request).
