Up for sale, a 2024 Martin SC-18E acoustic electric in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case and a Service Kit. Part of Martin’s forward-thinking SC Series, the SC-18E pairs classic Martin tonewoods with a Sure Align bolt-on neck and premium Fishman electronics.
Classic tonewoods include a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck, and ebony fingerboard, and the top features Martin’s Tone Tension bracing, a specialized design where the bracing is only scalloped on the treble side to increase resonance and overall clarity. This is a warm, resonant instrument with great string-to-string balance and overall definition, well-balanced from the smooth low end to the round, bell-like trebles. The Fishman Aura VT Blend pickup system combines an undersaddle pickup with Fishman’s Aura Acoustic Imaging technology (using digital “images” of genuine mic’d sounds), resulting in natural-sounding, studio-quality audio, with Volume, Tone (mid-scoop EQ), and Blend knobs to dial in the perfect ratio of the two elements.
