Up for sale, a 2024 Gibson Southern Jumbo Original in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted at the Bozeman, MT factory, this Southern Jumbo boasts a ‘50s-centric feature set with a vintage-spec slope-shoulder dreadnought body, mother of pearl split-parallelogram fingerboard inlays, L.R. Baggs VTC pickup, and a gloss Vintage Sunburst nitro lacquer finish.

Traditional tonewoods include a solid Sitka spruce top with hand-scalloped X bracing, mahogany back/sides, mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard. This Southern Jumbo has the punch and projection indicative of Gibson's best slope shoulder dreadnoughts, with plain strings that are round and sweet, while the wound strings have a rich bark. This instrument is also notably smooth and articulate, with plenty of mid-forward muscle on tap. Weighing 4lbs 5oz, this Southern Jumbo Original has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
