Up for sale, a 2024 Fender Traditional II 60s Jaguar FSR in mint condition, complete with hangtags. A FSR (Factory Special Run) example with a Black custom color finish and matching headstock, this model was made exclusively for a single dealer in Japan (Kurosawa musical instruments), virtually unseen outside its country of origin.
A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jaguar platform, the new Traditional 60s model features an alder body, revoiced Vintage Style Jaguar pickups, as well as USA-spec CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastic parts. Tonally, this Jag does everything a good Fender should, and these pickups dish out plenty of sparkling cut in the top end, with a slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart. The neck pickup has a balanced, sweet sound with great clarity for strummed passages and fat lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones (great for use with fuzz pedals) or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. This guitar weighs 8lbs 2oz, setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
