Up for sale, a 2024 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1964 Stratocaster Relic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case, CoA, and all hangtags/case candy. This Limited Edition Custom Shop model faithfully replicates the feel, appearance, and tone of Fender's Pre-CBS golden age, featuring handwound pickups and a relic’d gloss nitro lacquer Super Faded Aged Shell Pink finish.
At only 7lbs 11oz, tonewoods include a hand-selected two-piece alder body, quartersawn roasted maple neck, and a slab rosewood fingerboard with a modern 9 1/2“ radius. The trio of Custom Shop Handwound ‘64 single coil pickups deliver quintessential Stratocaster tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch, featuring period-correct construction with gray fiber bobbins, formvar wire, Alnico magnets (vintage stagger), and cloth-covered leads. The bridge has ample snap and twang, the neck is full and gutsy while remaining articulate, and the “in-between” positions have hollow quack, with a low noise-floor thanks to the reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup. This Summer Limited Edition 1964 Stratocaster Relic has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Super Faded Aged Shell Pink nitro lacquer finish is, as the name would imply, a very subdued take on this particular Fender custom color, evoking an instrument that has had years to fade with an almost white appearance upon first glance. The finish exhibits vertical checking and simulated marks of wear as part of Fender’s Relic process; beyond the factory aging, this guitar shows no discernible wear. Simulated palm wear on the neck profile results in a flawless satin feel.
A G&G Deluxe blonde tolex hardshell case is included, along with the CoA (dated 1/25/2024), all hangtags and case candy.
