Up for sale, a 2024 Collings 470 JL Julian Lage signature model in like-new condition, finished in Antique Natural and complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. The Collings 470 JL is the result of years-long conversations, engineering, testing, tweaking, playing and listening, resulting in one of Collings' most compelling models to date.
The 470 JL features a fully hollow body design with trestle block bracing, carved from solid Honduran mahogany and capped with an arched laminate maple top. A Honduran mahogany neck with a custom carve capped with a bound ebony fingerboard rounds out the tonewoods, and this lightweight and lively instrument features a custom Ron Ellis "Ellisonics" pickup pair commissioned by Collings for the JL model. Delivering a range of extremely nuanced tones, these DynaSonic-style single coils offer treble sparkle, midrange punch, and defined low end, with a vital sound in every pickup position. The guitar is featherweight at 6lbs 3oz, professionally setup with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
