Up for sale, a 2023 Taylor Custom Grand Auditorium in mint condition, complete with the hardshell case and hangtags. Dealer sourced and never privately owned, this Custom Shop GA model features V-Class bracing on the Lutz spruce top, Ascension fingerboard inlays, Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics, and a Transparent Blue finish highlighting the heavily figured quilted maple back/sides, framed by flamed koa binding.
Taylor's Custom models are unique, player-designed guitars created through Taylor's bespoke program, allowing customization of body shapes, tonewoods, aesthetics, and features, often resulting in one-of-a-kind instruments. Only available through authorized dealers, Taylor's Custom instruments feature premium woods, specific inlays, and special finishes beyond standard production lines.
The Lutz spruce top has Taylor’s proprietary V-Class bracing, designed to accentuate the vibrancy of the wood, with a bass-side arm bevel, and other premium tonewoods include quilted maple back and sides with flame koa binding, rock maple neck, and a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard. Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape offers abundant projection, featuring the lower bout width (15 ⅞”) and depth of a dreadnought with a more slender waist. Voiced for a variety of genres and playing styles, this V-Class braced model offers the shimmering trebles and sweet percussive cut historically associated with the Taylor brand.
Taylor's Expression System 2 is designed to faithfully reproduce the instrument’s natural tone. This system utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture top and string vibration. Created in partnership with audio pioneer Rupert Neve, Taylor's electronics are seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. This Custom GA weighs 4lbs 10oz, dialed in beyond factory spec here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
