Up for sale, a 2023 Van Zandt TLV-R1 in like-new condition, complete with the original padded gigbag and hangtags. Van Zandt’s premium Japan-exclusive guitars are produced by hand in Japan by PGM (more widely known for their work with Schecter and Moon); this TLV-R1 is a high quality spin on the "Blackguard" Tele platform, with notable attention to detail and premium components including specially-wound Fullertone pickups, brass saddles, five-screw pickguard, nitro lacquer Butterscotch Blonde finish, and a chunky soft V-shaped neck profile.
The tonewood complement comprises a lightweight ash body and a satin-finished maple neck, and this TLV-R1 is featherweight at 6lbs 13oz. The specially-wound Van Zandt Fullertone single coils deliver plenty of quintessential Tele sparkle and twang, and (as the punny name would suggest) they have a touch more midrange fullness and warmth. This TLV-R1 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
