Up for sale, a 2023 Novo Custom Serus J in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Mono case and hangtags. A high demand boutique brand with a current six month waitlist for all custom orders, Novo is the brainchild of Dennis Fano (also the founder of Fano Guitars). These instruments are hand-crafted in Nashville, TN, with premium tonewoods and componentry used throughout; this Serus J features a tempered pine body finished in Ice Blue Metallic, with a Mastery M1 bridge and vibrato and a pair of Lindy Fralin P-90 pickups.

Wound with a vintage voicing, the Lindy Fralins P-90 single coil pickups have plenty of midrange bark and a glassy, percussive quality. Ideal for articulate cleans or thick overdrive, these pickups can produce either with ease and refinement. Lightweight at 7lbs, this Serus J has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The Ice Blue Metallic nitro lacquer finish is a light application, revealing the natural grain of the pine body, and this guitar has been treated with Novo’s “Light” distressing (relic), with a handful of simulated marks of wear on the body. There is no detectable playwear beyond the factory aging. The neck exhibits simulated palm wear as part of the distressing process, resulting in a pristine satin feel.

The original Mono padded gigbag is included, along with the hangtags and spec sheet (dated 1/10/23).
