Up for sale, a 2023 Gibson J-45 Standard, near-mint and complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Crafted at Gibson’s Bozeman, MT factory, this J-45 was designed to capture the finer features of arguably one of the greatest “workhorse” guitars of all time, outfitted from the factory with an L.R. Baggs VTC active pickup.
Featuring a AA solid Sitka spruce top with hand-scalloped X bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, and a one-piece mahogany neck with a dovetail joint and hot hide glue neck set, this J-45 is anything but modern, carefully utilizing traditional materials and building techniques for a J-45 tonal profile that offers a warm and full sound with healthy projection. Not overly bright, this J-45 is a big-sounding strummer with smooth low end growl when digging in hard. The top end is clear, and individual notes have plenty of body and a sparkling, ringing quality. This J-45 Standard weighs 4lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
