Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Traditional Late ‘60s Jazzmaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A newer entry in Fender Japan's Traditional line, the Late ‘60s Jazzmaster model has a feature set consistent with the 1966 model year, including pearloid blocks and cream binding on the rosewood fretboard, witch hat knobs, and a vintage-correct "transitional" Fender logo. Otherwise unavailable to the USA market, this instrument was sourced directly from Tokyo.
A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jazzmaster platform, the Traditional Late ‘60s model features redesigned Vintage-Style pickups, as well as USA-spec CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastics. The instrument has plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two single coil pickups. Engaging the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn yields warmer, wooly sounds. Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this Traditional Late ‘60s Jazzmaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, with fresh 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
