Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Traditional II 50s Stratocaster FSR Ishibashi model in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. Commissioned by and exclusively sold through Japanese retailer Ishibashi, this FSR (Factory Special Run) instrument features a bookmatched quilted maple top and ash body, gold hardware, and a Honey Burst gloss finish.
Pickups include a trio of Fender's Pure Vintage 57/62 single coils which feature black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and staggered alnico magnets. Each position on the five-way pickup selector delivers a distinct, vital sound with sparkling bounce in the bridge position, throaty, bell-like cut at the neck and every shade in-between. Weighing 8lbs 2oz, this Ishibashi exclusive Strat benefits from a professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
The maple neck has a fast-feeling medium C-shaped profile carve with good shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .935” at the 12th. The fretboard has a modern 9 1/2“ radius, and the medium jumbo fretwire is pristine, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width. The headstock sports Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.
The electronics function flawlessly, with the Pure Vintage 57/62 pickups wired to USA-made CTS pots and a five-way pickup selector switch. The gold hardware shines like new, and plastics comprise a white pearloid pickguard and vibrato cavity cover, both of which retain their protective factory film, along with bright white knobs and pickup covers. There's barely a scratch on the gloss Honey Burst finish,
