Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Traditional 60s Precision Bass in like-new condition and in perfect working order. With a gloss Aged Sherwood Green finish exclusive to the '23 collection, this model is not otherwise available to the USA market and was sourced direct from Tokyo, complete with the original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags.Tonewoods include a basswood body and a maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard, and the bass is notably resonant and lively sounding acoustically, qualities translated faithfully through the stock split coil pickup. The tone is broad and clear, with good top end sweetness and ample pillowy thump, particularly with the Tone knob rolled back. This Precision Bass weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and spot-on intonation.The maple neck has a slender D-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .780” at the 1st fret and .915” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a dark and tight-grained cut with a modern 9 1/2" radius and slender fretwire. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck, and the nut measures 1,650” (42mm) in width, carved from bone for optimal clarity and sustain. The headstock features nickel-plated clover button tuning machines.The electronics comprise the split coil pickup and Master Volume and Tone controls, with USA-made CTS pots. The chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the knurled knobs, bridge base and steel barrel saddles. The mint green pickguard retains the factory protective film and “Made in Japan Traditional” sticker.
