Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Traditional 60s Jazz Bass in like-new condition and in perfect working order. With a gloss Aged Sherwood Green finish exclusive to the '23 collection, this model is not otherwise available to the USA market and was sourced direct from Tokyo, complete with the original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags.

Tonewoods include a basswood body and a maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard, and the bass is notably resonant and lively sounding acoustically, qualities translated faithfully via the pickup pair. The bridge pickup has the power, burp, and presence that ensures a Jazz Bass cuts through in ensemble situations, and it's easy to dial in the right amount of midrange growl and fundamental thump when balancing the sound between the two single coils. The tone can get quite smooth and wide too, simply by rolling off the bridge pickup Volume and Master Tone control, for a thick sound that doesn't lack definition. This Jazz Bass weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with the factory 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .810” deep at the 1st fret and .935” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a dark and tight-grained cut with a modern 9 1/2" radius and slender fretwire. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck, and the nut measures 1 1/2“ in width, carved from bone for optimal clarity and sustain. The headstock features nickel-plated clover button tuning machines.

The electronics comprise the vintage-style single coil pickup pair and Volume/Volume/Tone control layout with USA-made CTS pots. The chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the control plate, bridge base and steel barrel saddles. The mint green pickguard retains the factory protective film and “Made in Japan Traditional” sticker, and the pickup covers retain their protective plastic. The custom color Aged Sherwood Green gloss finish tops off the '60s look (a new finish for Fender Japan's 2023 Traditional collection). This instrument is ostensibly new, procured directly from Tokyo and dialed in beyond the factory setup to play its best.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the hangtags.
