Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Limited Edition Keith Richards “Micawber” 1952 Telecaster in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags. This rare “Made in Japan” Telecaster is a Factory Special Run (FSR) model, produced in very limited quantities for the Japanese music store Ikebe. It's a faithful recreation of Keith Richards' “Micawber” #1 Telecaster, with virtually every feature recreated, including a six-saddle bridge with brass saddles, pickup complement with reversed neck position humbucker, white Strat-style switch tip, and tuning machines that resemble the Sperzels Keith had installed in the ‘80s.

50s-centric tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, and this Micawber Telecaster weighs 8lbs 11oz. The single coil in the bridge position yields classic Tele twang and bite, balanced by the woody, percussive bark of the low-wind PAF-style humbucker at the neck. This iteration of the Micawber platform is notable for having the neck humbucker flipped around, with the exposed poles pointing towards the bridge, an adjustment Keef made to add a touch more bite and aggression to the tone (particularly in the middle position). This Micawber has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
