Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Hybrid II Jazzmaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. A model not intended for the USA market, this Made in Japan Jazzmaster parallels Fender’s American Professional II Jazzmaster in its streamlined control layout, featuring a pair of newly designed single coils custom-voiced for this model.
Additional features of the Hybrid II include a satin-finished Modern C neck profile, 22 fret maple fretboard, and locking Kluson-style tuners. The tonewood complement includes an alder body and maple neck, yielding a balanced, articulate natural acoustic tone. The guitar offers plenty of sparkling snap in the bridge position and warmer, bell-like tones at the neck. Weighing 8lbs 3oz, the guitar has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.
The maple neck has a Modern C profile, a slender carve with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges for added comfort, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .925" at the 12th. The 22 fret maple fretboard has a modern-spec 9 1/2" radius and flawless tall, slender fretwire. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo and Kluson-style locking tuning machines.
All of the electronics function flawlessly, the chrome hardware is positively gleaming, and the plastic parts are like-new, with the protective factory film still intact on the three-ply pickguard. The vibrato unit engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the bridge which has Mustang-style barrel saddles, offering more substance and stability than vintage Jazzmaster saddles.
The gloss Vintage Natural finish exhibits only a trio of tiny chips on the treble-side lower bout perimeter. Otherwise, this guitar is ostensibly brand new, and the smooth satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.
The original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags are included.
