Up for sale, a 2023 Collection Fender Traditional 60s Telecaster in like-new condition and in perfect working order. With a gloss Aged Sherwood Green finish exclusive to the '23 collection, this model is not otherwise available to the USA market and was sourced direct from Tokyo, complete with the original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags.
Built at the Dyna Gakki factory to exacting standards, tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck and thick slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a clear, balanced acoustic quality with notable fundamental warmth, qualities that translate well through the alnico magnet single coil pickup pair. The bridge position offers plenty of snap and sparkle, while the neck position has a percussive, bell-like chime. This Tele is featherweight at 7lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with the factory 9-42 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation (string gauge and setup can be dialed in to buyer's preference at no additional cost).
The maple neck has a chunky U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .865” deep at the 1st fret and .915” at the 12th. The thick, dark slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2” radius with flawless slender fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The stock bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.
Electronics include the single coil pickup pair wired to a three-way selector switch and USA-made CTS pots capped with flat-topped knurled knobs. Other vintage-accurate touches include the top hat switch tip and spiral bridge saddles. All of the chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the “Pat. Pend” bridge baseplate. Plastics include the mint green pickguard which retains its factory protective film and advert. The custom color Aged Sherwood Green gloss finish tops off the '60s look (a new finish for Fender Japan's 2023 Traditional collection). This instrument is ostensibly new, procured directly from Tokyo and dialed in beyond the factory setup to play its best.
The original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags are included.
