Up for sale, a 2022 Taylor Custom Grand Concert 12-Fret in mint condition, complete with the hardshell case and hangtags. Dealer sourced and never privately owned, this Custom Shop GC model features Tasmanian blackwood construction, V-Class bracing, a Silent Satin Natural finish, Custom S-Curve fingerboard inlays, Florentine cutaway, custom rosette, and Taylor’s Expression 2 electronics.
Taylor's Custom models are unique, player-designed guitars created through Taylor's bespoke program, allowing customization of body shapes, tonewoods, aesthetics, and features, often resulting in one-of-a-kind instruments. Only available through authorized dealers, Taylor's Custom instruments feature premium woods, specific inlays, and special finishes beyond standard production lines.
The body is crafted from Tasmanian blackwood, with Taylor’s proprietary V-Class bracing on the top, designed to accentuate the vibrancy of the wood, paired with a mahogany neck and a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard. With 12 frets clear of the body, Taylor’s Grand Concert body shape is an ideal balance of sweet, dynamic detail and rich depth, still yielding plenty of power and volume when required and well-voiced for a wide variety of genres, with the shimmering trebles and sweet percussive cut historically associated with the Taylor brand.
Taylor's Expression System 2 is designed to faithfully reproduce the instrument’s natural tone. This system utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture top and string vibration. Created in partnership with audio pioneer Rupert Neve, Taylor's electronics are seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. This Custom GC weighs 4lbs 6oz, dialed in beyond factory spec here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
