Up for sale, a 2022 Martin Custom Shop D-18 Sinker Mahogany with Martin’s “Style 1” aging in near-mint condition, complete with a Calton flight case. Faithfully crafted to Pre-War Martin specifications in Nazareth, PA, this guitar features a prominent V neck profile carve with a full 1 3/4“ nut width, an Adirondack spruce top with scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing that has undergone the Vintage Tone System (Martin’s torrification process), and a gloss 1935 Sunburst finish.

A powerful strummer with plenty of muscle and projection on tap, this guitar is bold and defined—an excellent example of Martin’s signature string-to-string balance and piano-like clarity. The trebles are crisp and immediate, and the lows are warm and robust, with a smooth growl when strummed with authority. This D-18 has been outfitted with a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup, designed to faithfully capture the tone of the instrument with a warm, woody sound, featuring a three-head bridge plate transducer design. This Custom Shop D-18 weighs 4lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
