Up for sale, a 2022 Klein sTele in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original softshell case. Since 1967, Steve Klein has been responsible for some of the guitar world’s most innovative, unique designs, featuring immediately recognizable ergonomic body shapes and marquetry. He’s been involved in the production and design of many notable models, working alongside notable pioneering luthiers including Ned Steinberger, Bob Taylor, and Steve Kauffman. This modern, Japanese-made model is Klein’s take on a Tele-style platform (at least as far as components and electronics are concerned), and each Japanese Klein is shipped directly to Klein himself, deconstructed and checked for accuracy/quality before being reassembled and sent to market.
Premium features of this sTele include Seymour Duncan Vintage Tele pickups, CTS pots, and custom Hipshot tuners, and the tonewood complement comprises a lightweight swamp ash body, tempered and torrefied maple neck, and 22-fret Indian rosewood fretboard. The Seymour Duncan Vintage Tele (STR-1/STL-1) single coils deliver classic Tele snap, featuring hand-ground Alnico 5 magnets. The Vintage ‘54 Lead at the bridge yields ample twang and gutsy punch, and the Vintage Tele Rhythm neck pickup is smooth and open-sounding, with warm lower mids and airy highs perfect for big-yet-defined chords. Featherweight at 6lbs 5oz, this sTele has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
