Up for sale, a 2022 Harmony Comet Limited Edition Space Black in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Mono Vertigo padded softshell case. This Harmony is the ideal culmination of modern, player-friendly construction and classic design/tones. A reinterpretation of Harmony's H-prefix models of the '60s, features of the Comet include a scaled-down, semi-hollow mahogany body and Alnico III Gold Foil pickups. This Comet sports a limited edition nitro lacquer Space Black finish, and only 36 guitars were produced in this limited run!The semi-hollow mahogany body offers the inherent warmth and sonic depth of mahogany, faithfully captured by the gold foil pickups. These custom-voiced and hand-wound humbuckers deliver the pristine clarity and percussive cut of the gold foil design; they’re exceptionally articulate, with tight lows, perfect for sparkling, chiming cleans or creamy bluesy sounds with a touch of grit. The global push/pull coil tap on the Volume pot allows for true single coil functionality too. Featherweight at 5lbs 8oz, this Comet has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.The mahogany neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and a touch more heft in the upper registers, measuring .795” deep at the 1st fret and .935” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a 12” radius, and the medium jumbo fretwire is pristine. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the bone nut measures 1 11/16” in width. On the headstock, the locking tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with positively gleaming chrome plating.All of the electronics function as intended, with the gold foil humbuckers governed by a three-way selector switch and Volume and Tone knobs. The Volume knob is a push/pull design, engaging a global coil tap for both pickups. Plastics comprise the pair of custom “cupcake” knobs, and the raised three-ply white pickguard, which still retains the factory protective film and “Made in USA” sticker. Hardware comprises the tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar.The Limited Edition Space Black finish was limited to 36 units total, framed by white binding. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the nitro lacquer gloss on the body as a whole. The matching gloss on the neck profile is pristine.The original Mono Vertigo padded softshell case is included.
