Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Traditional II 60s Stratocaster in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This Strat was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a basswood body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. The trio of alnico magnet single coils have plenty of chime and sparkle, governed by a five-way pickup selector switch. Lightweight at just 6lbs 13oz, this Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a medium depth U-shaped profile carve with plenty of shoulder and ideal substance, measuring .865” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2“ radius, and the slender fretwire is practically perfect, only exhibiting a hint of wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-3. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the bone nut measures just a hair shy of 1 5/8“ (1.615”) in width. The headstock features Kluson-style tuning machines, and the “Made in Japan” text and JD22-prefix serial are present on the back of the peghead.

Electronics comprise the trio of staggered pole piece alnico magnet single coil pickups wired to a five-way switch and trio of USA-spec CTS pots. The vibrato has a large block for great sustain, complete with the stock arm. Plastics include ivory pickup covers and knobs with a pale mint green pickguard.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to a couple dings, one on the back at the treble-side lower bout and one on top at the bass-side lower bout. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.

A gigbag is included.
