2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jazzmaster FSR Black w/ Blocks & Binding, CuNiFe Wide Range Humbuckers

Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jazzmaster electric guitar, brand new with hangtags. This FSR (Factory Special Run) model is a sold out Fender Japan website exclusive.The guitar features genuine USA-made Wide Range humbuckers with the same CuNiFe magnets of the original Seth Lover design, faithfully replicating the warmth, detail, and percussive clarity of the original Wide Range pickups from the '70s (despite the "Traditional 60s" designation of the model). The guitar boasts a Black gloss finish over an alder body, accented by a deep red tortoise pickguard, and the maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with white binding and pearloid block inlay. It's an utterly unique Jazzmaster model with the exquisite fit and finish work of Fender Japan, and a pair of highly regarded USA Wide Range humbuckers with CuNiFe magnets. This Fender was sourced directly from Tokyo and is unplayed since new, complete with the original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags.Lightweight for a Jazzmaster at 7lbs 9oz, the guitar balances well on a strap and has been setup to perfection here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring factory 9-42 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation (string gauge can be set to buyer's taste prior to shipment).The maple neck has a fuller profile carve than earlier Fender Japan Jazzmasters, with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, offering a modestly chunky U shape at the nut and just a hair more heft in the higher registers, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .905" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid block inlay and flawless slender fretwire, with a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the carved bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. The Black-finished headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Fender logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.All of the electronics function flawlessly, the chrome hardware shines like new, and the plastic parts are clean as can be, with the original clear factory plastic on the pickguard.
