Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jazz Bass in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags and Fender-branded gigbag. Finished in Fender’s perennially popular custom color, Fiesta Red, this Fender Japan exclusive model is uncommon outside its country of origin. The Traditional 60s instruments are the latest "Made in Japan" iterations, with the exquisite fiti and finish work for which Fender Japan is known.This 1962 reissue Jazz Bass offers a clear and balanced natural tone with excellent sustain and strong note attack. The bridge pickup has the power, burp, and presence that helps a Jazz Bass cut through in ensemble situations, and it's easy to dial in the right amount of midrange growl and fundamental thump when balancing the sound between the two single coils. The tone can get quite smooth and wide too, simply by rolling off the bridge pickup Volume and Master Tone control, for a thick sound that doesn't lack definition. Weighing 8lbs 6oz, this Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with roundwound 45-105 strings, comfortable action and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with round, inviting shoulders and lightly rolled edges, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th. The bass has Fender's traditional 1 1/2" Jazz Bass nut width, with a full 34" scale and a particularly thick slab rosewood fretboard. The slender vintage-style frets are practically perfect. and the bass plays cleanly in all registers with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. On the headstock, the clover button tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The back of the headstock displays the “Made in Japan” text and JD22-prefix serial.The electronics function flawlessly, the chrome plating on the hardware shines like new, and the pale mint green pickguard compliments the Fiesta Red gloss finish. Cosmetic wear is practically nonexistent beyond one tiny ding on the lower bout bass-side body edge. The neck profile sports a flawless gloss finish.The original Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the original hangtags.
