Up for sale, a 2022 Fender Traditional 60s Jaguar in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags and gigbag. A FSR (Factory Special Run) example made exclusively for Japanese vendor Ishibashi, this Jaguar features a gloss Black finish, anodized gold pickguard, black plastics, medium jumbo fretwire and a Buzz Stop. Only offered within Japan and virtually unseen outside its country of origin, this Jaguar was sourced brand new direct from Tokyo.A reinvention of Fender Japan's Jaguar platform, the new Traditional 60s model features Fender's V-Mod pickups, as well as USA-made CTS pots, Switchcraft switches, and USA Fender plastic parts. Tonally, this Jag does everything a good Fender should, and these gray bobbin single coils have a hotter wind with a flat pole piece design, offering more midrange emphasis. The pickups still dish out plenty of twang and snap in the top end, with a slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart and a balanced, sweet sound with great clarity for strummed passages and sparkling lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones (great for use with fuzz pedals) or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds.Top it off with more chrome than a Cadillac and you have the model that was Fender's flagship guitar when it was introduced in '62, with every bell and whistle Leo Fender and his team could think to include. This guitar weighs 8lbs 2oz, with a warm and clear acoustic tone that translates well through the pickups. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, this Jag features low action, accurate intonation, and factory 9-42 strings (string gauge and setup can be adjusted to buyer's taste). The maple neck has a chunky and substantial U-shaped profile carve with particularly round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, pearl dot inlay and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24" scale with a straight neck, and the nut measures 1 9/16" (40mm) in width. The headstock is fitted with Gotoh, Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. The electronics include individual on/off switches for each pickup on the Lead Circuit, in addition to the bass cut (or "strangle switch") on/off toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Rhythm Circuit has its own pair of Volume and Tone wheels in addition to the on/off toggle switch that engages this circuit, which adds a darker tone cap exclusively for use on the neck pickup. The vibrato unit is smooth and responsive, actuating easily for surfy warbles and dives, and the Buzz Stop increases the break angle between the bridge and vibrato for greater tension and stability (the Buzz Stop can be removed at the buyer's discretion). The chrome-plated hardware, gold anodized aluminum pickguard, and plastic parts are perfect. This rare Jaguar guitar is showroom clean with barely a scratch on it, and the neck profile is flawless. The Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the hangtags.***We are dealers for the Mastery M2 bridge, Offset Vibrato, and Lollar Jaguar pickups, any of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
