Up for sale, a 2022 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special 5 HH in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original MONO case and hangtags. As the next landmark company founded by Leo Fender and George Fullerton after the sale of Fender Musical Instruments, Music Man offered an opportunity for this dynamic duo to further refine and build upon Fender's various innovations. The five-string iteration of EBMM’s crown jewel bass, the StingRay 5H features a pair of humbuckers, an active EQ, asymmetrical extended pickguard, and a gloss Black finish.
Featuring a select hardwood body and a roasted maple neck, this StingRay Special 5 weighs 8lbs 15oz. The pair of Magnet Special Design alnico humbuckers offer punchy growl and thick, round thump, capturing the full, rumbling scope of all five strings. The active electronics include a three-band EQ with boost/cut center-detent knobs and a five-way selector switch to access tapped single coil sounds. This StingRay Special 5 HH has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-125 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
