Up for sale, a 2021 Tokai ES224 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Tokai’s interpretation of the iconic ES-335 platform circa 1959, this Japanese-made semi-hollow guitar features flame maple body construction, a one-piece African mahogany neck, a bound Indian rosewood fretboard, nickel-plated hardware, and a Sunburst nitro lacquer finish.
With the crisp attack of maple and the sweet, airy qualities of the semi-hollow body, the tonal range and detail of this guitar is exceptional, and the original PAF Vintage MK2 pickups have Alnico V magnets, covering a broad sonic spectrum. Each position on the three-way toggle has a distinct, vital tone, with ample warmth, richness and growl on tap, a tailored, clear midrange, and sweet trebles. This ES224 weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
