Up for sale, a 2021 Squier by Fender Classic Vibe ‘70s Jaguar Limited Edition in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. This Classic Vibe '70s model boasts a custom color Daphne Blue gloss finish over the poplar body, with binding and pearloid blocks inlaid on the Indian laurel fretboard.
The tonewoods offer a clear, spanky platform for the Fender-designed, vintage-style alnico magnet single coil pickups. These coils dish out plenty of twang and snap in the top end, with a slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones (great for use with fuzz pedals) or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. This Classic Vibe Jaguar weighs 8lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The maple neck has a moderately chunky C-shaped profile carve with full, inviting shoulders in every register, measuring .860” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The bound Indian laurel fretboard features a modern 9 1/2” radius, pearloid block inlay, and pristine narrow tall fretwire. This Jaguar plays cleanly up the 24” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width, carved from bone for optimal clarity and sustain. The headstock features a block Jaguar logo, and the original set of Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly.
All of the electronics function as intended, and the chrome hardware shines like new, including the control plates, bridge with Mustang-style barrel saddles and the vibrato unit. Plastics comprise the pointer knobs and the three-ply white pearloid pickguard. Virtually unplayed since new, there are only a few very faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the gloss Daphne Blue finish, and the ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original Fender-branded padded gigbag is included.
