Up for sale, a 2021 Novo Serus TC in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A boutique Nashville builder offering a distinctive visual appeal and a bevy of premium features, the Novo Serus TC model features a pine body, thin nitro lacquer Dakota Red finish, Tele-style bridge with brass saddles, and a pair of LollarTron humbuckers.

The large slab pine body of the Serus TC offers a fairly neutral, smooth, and articulate tonal profile for the Lollar pickups, faithfully wound to replicate the tonal characteristics of Gretsch's FilterTron. Fitting into a traditional humbucker route, the LollarTron delivers a unique growl when you dig in hard, for a burly, rolicking overdrve, while cleans are defined with a midrange heft and taut, lightly compressed low end. Featherweight at 7lbs 2oz, we've had this Novo dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The roasted maple neck features deep broad flame figuring and a flawless transition from smooth nitro gloss at the headstock and heel to silky bare maple along the profile. The neck shape is a medium C carve with moderate shoulder, offering an effortless feel with ideal substance, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .935" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has clay dot inlay, a modern 9 1/2" fretboard radius, and 6125 Jescar fretwire which has well-rounded crowns, showing only light wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the unbleached bone nut measures 1.650" in width. The matching Dakota Red headstock features Kluson Supreme tuning machines that turn very smoothly and hold pitch reliably.

The LollarTron pickups are governed by a three-way pickup selector toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs with premium Emerson pots and a paper-in-oil tone cap. Hardware includes a "chopped" Tele-style bridge base and trio of compensated brass saddles, ensuring ideal top end and a distinctive chewy twang. Novo applies their finishes without grain filler, and as a result the grain of the pine body can be felt (and seen) through the opaque nitro lacquer Dakota Red finish. As Novo’s aging process does include simulated pick, buckle, and edge wear, it’s difficult to separate actual playwear from factory applied relic’ing, but suffice it to say that the guitar has seen minimal use since its creation in Spring of '21.

The original silver G&G Deluxe hardshell case with purple plush interior is included, along with the factory hangtag.
