Up for sale, a 2021 Mesa/Boogie Fillmore 25 combo amp in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with footswitch. A limited run, discontinued variant, this Fillmore features Blue Bronco tolex, black grillcloth framed by white piping, and black leather corners. This “bantam weight” iteration of Mesa’s Fillmore series, named after the iconic bi-coastal venues, is designed to deliver a wide range of vintage-flavored tonalities, at the original Boogie-size footprint.
Featuring a two-channel, three-mode design, there’s a huge array of possible tonalities on tap, from “clipped cleans to purring grind.” This Fillmore 25 may be at its best in the world of gain, whether just a touch of dirt or huge, roaring distortion, this 18-23 watt combo delivers a harmonically complex signal, highly responsive to player inputs. That nuance gives this amp a very organic feel at all volume levels, also making it exceedingly versatile for studio and stage usage, with three-way (Clean, Drive, HI) Gain mini-toggles on each of the two independent, footswitchable channels. Each channel also has dedicated Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence, and Master Volume knobs. Additionally, the all-tube long-tank spring reverb is lush and atmospheric, with independent Reverb level controls for each channel.
This combo features Mesa’s proprietary Dyna-Watt power amp, which produced 18 watts (clean) to 23 watts (max) of Class A/B, Pentode power for exceptional power, punch, and clarity. The tube complement comprises a matched pair of Mesa 6V6 power tubes, with five matched Mesa 12AX7s in the preamp section, and silicon diodes for rectification. This amp is loaded with a Celestion Custom 90 12” speaker, produced exclusively for Mesa with tight, controlled lows, plenty of low-mid authority, and an assertive-yet-composed top end, perfect for cutting through a mix without any harshness while retaining excellent headroom.
The cabinet is crafted from marine-grade Baltic birch, and cosmetic touches include Blue Bronco tolex, black grillcloth, a black leather handle, chickenhead knobs, and black leather corners. This amp has barely a mark on the enclosure.
