Up for sale, a 2021 Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe in mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. An updated take on the D-28 platform, this dreadnought delivers classic Martin tones and aesthetics while offering a few modern, player-friendly tweaks on the formula including a composite carbon fiber bridge plate, natural protein glue construction, Liquidmetal bridge pins, and an asymmetrical, satin-finished neck profile carve with Martin's High Performance Taper.
Tonewoods include an Adirondack spruce top with Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) treatment and scalloped, forward-shifted, X-bracing, East Indian rosewood back and sides, and a mahogany neck capped with an ebony fingerboard. This D-28 Modern Deluxe has a notably smooth character to the plain strings, with a dynamic, open quality to the top, attributable both to the bracing and VTS treatment. The low end is focused and snappy, with great bloom and a hint of natural compression when digging in hard with a flatpick. This D-28 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
