Up for sale, a 2021 K-Line Truxton in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded softshell case and COA. This modern, finely-crafted boutique spin on the "Blackguard" T-style platform was made in St. Louis, Missouri, sporting traditional tonewoods, custom electronics, and exceptional attention to detail, with a lightly relic’d, transparent Blonde nitro lacquer finish.Tonewoods include a lightweight ash body and one-piece maple neck, yielding a lively acoustic profile with great articulation and midrange complexity, qualities faithfully captured by the pair of K-Line Signature T single coil pickups. Custom wound, these pickups are well-balanced with tight lows, exquisite percussive cut and sparkling snap. The bridge pickup has bright twang, and the neck has a fuller, throaty chop. This Truxton is featherweight at 6lbs 14oz, benefitting from a professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The one-piece maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .940” at the 12th. The fretboard has a 10” radius, and the 6125 medium jumbo fretwire is pristine. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the nut measures 1.650” in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. All of the electronics function as intended; the Signature T pickups are wired to the harness with CTS pots, cloth-covered leads, and a Sprague Orange Drop tone cap. The standard T-style control scheme consists of a three-way selector switch and Master Volume and Tone controls, which are capped by knurled dome-topped knobs. All of the nickel-plated hardware has a light dusting of factory-applied patina, including the knobs, control plate, bridge base, and compensated brass saddles. Plastics include the one-ply black pickguard and early '50s-style switch tip.The gloss Blonde nitro lacquer finish highlights the dynamic grain in the ash body, and K-Line's factory aging includes extensive lacquer checking and a few simulated marks of wear. There is virtually no wear beyond the factory relic, and the smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original K-Line-branded padded softshell case is included, along with the signed and serialized COA.
