Tonewoods include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and slab rosewood fingerboard, and this bass is relatively lightweight for a Thunderbird at 8lbs 15oz. Living up to the name, this bass thunders with the best, delivering plenty of growl and thump. The bridge humbucker is round and punchy, with a rich upper-midrange bark, and the neck is thick and smooth, with just enough treble detail to cut through a mix, accentuated by the 45-105 roundwound strings.
