Up for sale, a 2021 Gibson Les Paul Special in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Replicating the feature set of a mid-1950s single cutaway Special, this Les Paul boasts a gloss nitro lacquer Cherry Red finish with mahogany body and neck construction, loaded with a pair of P-90 pickups. These pickups deliver plenty of classic P-90 growl, presence and midrange power, channeling the natural warmth of the mahogany body. Lightweight at just 7lbs 5oz, this Les Paul has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a chunky ‘50s-style C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and ideal heft in every register, measuring .875” deep at the 1st fret and 1.005” at the 12th. On the bound rosewood fretboard, the slender fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. In line with traditional Gibson spec, the nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the scale length is 24 3/4". The headstock features Gibson Deluxe double line tuning machines with white buttons.
All of the electronics work as they should, with the pair of P-90 pickups wired to Gibson-embossed Alpha pots and Sprague Orange Drop tone caps. The guitar features a traditional Les Paul control array with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup and a three-way pickup selector. Hardware includes an upgraded MojoAxe lightweight wraparound bridge with subtle compensation, and the original bridge is present in the case. Plastics comprise a quartet of black bonnet knobs, the multi-ply pickguard, and amber switch tip. There's barely a scratch on the Cherry Red gloss nitro lacquer finish, and the gloss on the neck profile is similarly flawless.
The original brown tolex hardshell case is included, along with all original hangtags and case candy.
