Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Traditional II 60s Jazz Bass in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag and hangtags. This Fender Japan exclusive FSR (Factory Special Run) model was produced in notably small quantities, featuring a distinctive roasted maple neck. The Traditional 60s instruments are the latest "Made in Japan" iterations, with the exquisite fit and finish work for which Fender Japan is known.Tonewoods include a basswood body and a roasted maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a clear and balanced natural acoustic tone, translated faithfully via the pickup pair. The bridge pickup has the power, burp, and presence that ensures a Jazz Bass cuts through in ensemble situations, and it's easy to dial in the right amount of midrange growl and fundamental thump when balancing the sound between the two single coils. The tone can get quite smooth and wide too, simply by rolling off the bridge pickup Volume and Master Tone control, for a thick sound that doesn't lack definition. This Jazz bass weighs 8lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action and accurate intonation. The roasted maple neck has a moderately slender U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .815” deep at the 1st fret and .950” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius with dot inlay and flawless slender fretwire. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The stock nut measures 1 1/2“ in width, carved from bone for optimal clarity and sustain. On the headstock, the clover-button tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, and the back of the headstock sports Fender's “75th Anniversary” decal. The electronics function flawlessly, with the vintage-style single coil pickup pair and Volume/Volume/Tone control layout with USA-made CTS pots. The chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the control plate, bridge base and steel barrel saddles. The dark tortoise pickguard retains the factory protective film and “Made in Japan Traditional” sticker. The gloss Olympic White finish is bright and clean, with barely a scratch on it, and the gloss finished roasted maple neck is equally pristine. The original Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the hangtags, a Fender strap, and Fender-branded strap locks.
