Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Traditional '70s Telecaster Thinline in near mint condition and in perfect working order. A "Made in Japan" model rarely seen outside its country of origin, this Tele boasts exceptional fit and finish work and a pair of Wide Range humbuckers. These pickups are fat and full-sounding while retaining a distinctive top end character, and the semi-hollow ash body provides both midrange punch and a certain airy quality. Lightweight at 7lbs 5oz, we've had this Tele professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a round, chunky U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .875" deep at the 1st fret and .925" at the 12th. The silky smooth gloss finish on the profile and fretboard feels great on the palm, and the original slender frets are flawless. The guitar plays well in all registers with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 5/8"" in width, and the headstock features flawless Fender F tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics function as intended, with USA-made CTS pots and Master Volume and Tone knobs governing the Wide Range humbuckers. The chrome hardware and plastic parts are practically perfect, with great dimension in the white pearloid pickguard and just a touch of patina on the block bridge saddles. There are just a few very faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the back, and the gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.

The original padded Fender-branded gigbag is included.
