Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Stratocaster Noir limited edition electric guitar in near mint condition and in perfect working order. Complete with the original Fender-branded gigbag and hangtags, this limited run model was made exclusively for the domestic Japanese market, rarely seen outside its country of origin.A unique spin on the Stratocaster platform, the Noir model boasts black nickel hardware, a Matte Black finish with matching headstock, and a three-ply pickguard with subtle graining that  references Fender's anodized pickguards of the late '50s. The tonewood complement includes a basswood body, maple neck, and an extremely thick and dark rosewood fretboard. Neck specs comprise a modern 9 1/2" fretboard radius, taller fretwire, a smooth satin neck profile finish, and a deep U-shaped neck profile carve.Weighing 7lbs 10oz, the medium weight Strat delivers a clear and lively range of tonalities via the trio of alnico magnet single coils, from sparkling cut in the bridge position to bell-like chime and warmth at the neck. We've dialed in this Strat here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a chunky and very round U-shaped neck profile with tons of shoulder and a substantial feel in every register, measuring .885" deep at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard is jet black and extremely tight-grained, with flawless tall, slender fretwire and a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the black synthetic bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Stratocaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. All of the electronics function flawlessly, while the black nickel hardware has a tendency to wear very easily and shows light surface patina, and the plastic parts are near mint, with the original clear factory film intact on the tremolo cavity cover. The vibrato unit works smoothly and engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the vintage-style bridge. There's barely a scratch on the Matte Black body finish, and the satin-finished neck profile is flawless. This Stratocaster Noir is complete with the original hangtags and Fender-branded gigbag.
