Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Junior Collection Jazz Bass in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and factory paperwork. This Jazz Bass was made in Japan as part of the Junior Collection, featuring a scaled down body, 30” scale length, and a satin finish.This bass has a lively and resonant acoustic response with a basswood body, maple neck and thick slab rosewood fretboard. The proprietary Junior Collection Modified Jazz Bass single coil pickups faithfully deliver a range of JB tones regardless of their slightly smaller-than-normal form factor. There's a growl and clarity to the bridge pickup, balanced by the fuller thump of the neck position single coil, with plenty of articulation and warmth when blending the two. This Jazz Bass weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action and spot-on intonation.The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders at the nut and a gentle increase in overall heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .795” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2” radius with flawless slender fretwire. This bass plays cleanly in all registers up the 30” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures 1 1/2” in width. On the satin headstock, the clover-button tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The “Made in Japan” text and JD21-prefix serial are present on the back of the headstock.All of the electronics function flawlessly, with the proprietary single coil pickups governed by a standard Volume/Volume/Tone control array. The four-saddle bridge and control plate all have gleaming chrome plating, and the three-ply tortoise pickguard is a deep red. The satin Vintage White finish is practically perfect, with scarcely a scratch on the entire body.
