Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Hybrid II Jazzmaster in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags. A model not intended for the USA market, this Jazzmaster features a custom color Shell Pink gloss finish.
Paralleling Fender's American Professional II Jazzmaster in its streamlined control layout, the Hybrid II features a pair of newly designed single coils custom-voiced for this model. Additional features of the Hybrid II include a satin-finished Modern C neck profile, 22 fret maple fretboard, and locking Kluson-style tuners. The tonewood complement includes an alder body and maple neck, yielding a balanced, articulate natural acoustic tone. The guitar offers plenty of sparkling snap in the bridge position and warmer, bell-like tones at the neck. Weighing 7lbs 14oz, the guitar has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.
The maple neck has a Modern C profile carve with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges for added comfort, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .935" at the 12th. The 22 fret maple fretboard boasts a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius and tall, slender fretwire which shows no wear. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1.675" in width (42.5mm). The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style locking tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
All of the electronics function flawlessly, the chrome hardware is positively gleaming, and the plastic parts are like-new, with the protective factory film still intact on the three-ply pickguard. The vibrato unit engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the bridge which has Mustang-style barrel saddles, offering more substance and stability than vintage Jazzmaster saddles. The Shell Pink gloss finish has barely a scratch on it, and the satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
