Made specifically for Wilcutt Guitars, this limited run Stratocaster is officially the "Vintage Custom '55 Stratocaster Hardtail Time Capsule Package." Features include a two-piece ash body finished in NOS "flashcoat" nitro lacquer, a one-piece rift-sawn maple neck with a 1954 “U” profile, a vintage compound- radius fingerboard (7.25”-9.5”), medium vintage fretwire, and Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55 pickups.

There’s a distinctive resonance given the hardtail string-through-body design, with enhanced sustain and chime and bold, gutsy cut. The Hand-Wound '55 pickups have plenty of bell-like sparkle and bounce, and each position on the five-way pickup selector is distinct and lively. Weighing 7lbs 4oz, this Hardtail Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The NOS "Flashcoat" nitro lacquer two-tone Wide Fade Sunburst finish is applied very lightly, subtly sinking into the grain of the ash and offering maximal resonance. The finish exhibits just a couple exceedingly faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole, and the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
