Up for sale, a 2021 Fender American Ultra Jazz Bass in showroom clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags, COA and hardshell case. Finished in a brownish-black metallic finish christented "Texas Tea," this premium Fender Jazz Bass model features a pair of Fender's Vintage Noiseless pickups coupled with an extensive control layout and active preamp for optimal  tone shaping.The tonewood combination of an alder body, maple neck, and bound maple fretboard ensures a balanced and articulate natural acoustic sound, and the HiMass bridge delivers ample sustain and thick, muscly low end. The pickups are designed to offer the tonal profile of Fender's Jazz Bass pickups of yesteryear, yet without the hum typically associated with single coil pickups. And with a discreet mini toggle on the control plate, it's easy to toggle between passive and active modes. The bass weighs 9lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.The maple neck has a "Modern D" shaped profile carve, a slender shape with nicely rounded shoulders, measuring .815" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The bound 21 fret maple fingerboard boasts black pearloid block inlay with a compound 10-14" fretboard radius and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. The bass plays easily up the 34" scale, and the neck heel and plate is contoured for unencumbered access to the highest registers. The bone nut measures 1 1/2" in width, and the headstock is fitted with lightweight chrome-plated tuning machines which turn smoothly and avoid any perceptible neck dive.The electronics include a three-band active EQ circuit and center-detent Pickup Pan knob, along with a Volume knob and conventional passive Tone knob, as the bass can be switched between active and passive modes via a two-way mini toggle. An anodized gold aluminum pickguard accents the metalflake Texas Tea gloss body finish, and there's barely a scratch on it. The satin finish on the neck is equally pristine.The original premium molded Fender hardshell case is included, along with all hangtags and the COA.
