Up for sale, a 2020 Spruce Effects The Gale in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. Spruce Effects are handbuilt by a husband-and-wife team in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, producing limited quantities of pedals with premium, hand-selected componentry. The Gale is a discrete op-amp distortion/fuzz capable of producing a wide array of harmonically rich fuzz, drive, and distortion tones.

At the heart of this pedal are NOS Germanium transistors, able to achieve smoldering grit and aggressive buzzsaw splat. Unique to this pedal is the Shape knob. This dynamic control enables the user to change the way the clipping circuit behaves with high and low-pass filters, shaping the characteristics of the distortion and interacting with the Tone knob in a very interesting way.

There’s barely a mark on the enclosure, with pristine graphics and knobs. The inside of the baseplate is dated to 8/2020 and signed by the builders.
