This custom-built Fatback 24 features tonewoods hand-selected from the PRS factory’s legendary Wood Library, including a bookmatched quilted maple “10” top and a 24-fret Brazilian rosewood fretboard, with a pair of 58/15TM humbuckers, a Pattern Regular neck profile, and a gloss Charcoal Cherry Burst nitro lacquer finish.
At the heart of this Fatback 24 are a pair of 58/15 humbuckers: these vintage-inspired pickups are designed to capture PAF-style warmth, sweetness, and clarity, with a lively, dynamic feel. The bridge pickup has a more focused midrange, and the neck pickup is full and broad, and the five-way pickup selector switch enables single coil functionality, with the inner coils tapped at position two, and outer coils tapped at position four. This Custom 24 Fatback weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
